The Community Orchestra Access Coalition (COAC) is a grassroots, not-for-profit community organization dedicated to fostering inclusivity, fairness, and equal opportunity in local community orchestras.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help break down barriers—whether financial, social, personal, or geographic—that prevent individuals from participating in or enjoying community orchestral music. Through advocacy, education, and direct action support, we aim to empower musicians from all backgrounds to access orchestral experiences in a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring that local community orchestras reflect the rainbow of diversity and ethnic richness of the various communities they serve.
